Our Reception Decor

My mom, clearly shocked I actually pulled this all off!

This room turned out JUST how I imagined! After sketching 100 versions trying to explain my vision to Drew & my parents, it was clear they trusted my creative vision but didn’t fully understand what was happening. But VOILA! Elegant, crisp, full tables, and stuffed chandeliers. Thank you to my mom for listening to me going on about this setup during waves of excitement and stress- none of this would have become a reality without you!

I know little-to-none about florals, so I handed it over to my florist! We wanted greenery with white flowers- and the result was perfection. I love that she took a tropical twist to the classic design and it really worked with our ‘theme’! Flower Girls OBX did all of our arrangements, including the greenery wall. The neon sign was from Custom Neon- an investment piece for sure, but Drew is always talking about hanging it in our apartment once we get to Blacksburg in a few weeks! The only issues we had with Flower Girls were caused by my day-of-coordinator’s lack of following my instructions..but CLEARLY that’s a story for another day!

I arranged the table, chair & cushion rentals through Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals. They tried several times to talk me out of the cushions because “people prefer the chairs without them” but I stuck to my guns and I was right- Those little bows make it for me!

Ocean Atlantic had a very limited and basic selection for dinnerware. I ended up finding another rental vendor, actually based out of Virginia Beach- not super close to the Outer Banks, but for a fee they (of course) they delivered all our dinnerware right to the kitchen! PHEW! I went with The Collection by Courtney and picked out the Valenza chargers paired with the Ophelia plate sets.

It all came together- my favorite little part being the rug under that center table perfectly lined up with the windows..ugh..I love details!

Thanks for reading, please ask me to help plan your wedding! Haha!

LOVE,

Jaime
