Bridal Shower Luncheon

My Bridal Shower Luncheon! Completely living up to it’s invitations, the morning after a perfect bachelorette slumber party, and the day before I became Mrs. Meininger. It was pink, sweet, and everyone looked beautiful!

We had my shower at Drew’s family’s rental house- just 2 properties down from the wedding house. My bridesmaids and the ladies in the Meininger house decorated beyond anything I could’ve asked, and a few groomsman drove into town that morning and picked up the cake from Almost Heavenly Bakery. Note: boys are crucial in planning a party. Those last minute errands always try to ruin a good time!

The house couldn’t have been better for the occasion. Although I couldn’t care less about the actual food, I love when events that are typically “stand around and mingle” are transformed into a seated, tabled kind of thing. It makes it more elegant and gives people an opportunity to actually talk rather than standing around without a place- and this way, you get to use real dishes rather than paper (I haaate paper plates at a party!) With every house on our strip set up completely different, we really lucked out with the dining arrangement of this rental home! There were 5 big square dining tables, and a beautiful buffet counter, as well as a bar (shaped like a boat! Adorable!) And in the living room there was plenty of couch and chair seating. One of the biggest stressors at showers my mom and I have thrown before has been “WHERE is everyone going to sit!?” so this was such a relief! There were centerpieces, pink cocktail napkins, and pearl white dishes. Perfect.

Drew’s uncle, Jon, gave the best gift of all, by hanging out with the ladies all morning and being our photographer. Like, are you kidding me!? I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you to everyone who came, cooked, & decorated. I owe you 100 times over.

LOVE,

Jaime

The morning of the shower.. Nothing like waking up with a fresh spray tan!!
