IT’S OCTOBER it’s here it’s really already here. I can’t believe how fast September flew and that I’m coming face to face with the season of fall. Most people start the transition at the end of August, but I hang onto summer tight for as long as I can! Butttt once October hits… there’s really no denying… fall is here. SO, with that, I’m starting to lean into all my favorite textures and scents and getting in the mood to try out a new pumpkin break recipe for Drew this week with Frank Sinatra playing in the kitchen. Yes, for some reason, that is fall to me. Haha!

Did you see the Birkenstock ‘Bostons’ are back and big this season? Literally sold out everywhere. Who knew we were going so back so 2010? Well I’m fairly anti-Birkenstocks (too ~natural~ for me) but have been intrigued by the outfit combos people have been putting together with the Boston style. Well have no fear— there is a cuter, non-Birkenstock option! Tory came to the RESCUE with these cute mules, really no cuter than Birks but at least I don’t have to say I own Birks. Truly, if you know you know.

Also high on my list this month is this amazing early-autumn wedding guest dress (on sale!) and if you know me in person you know my tendency to bring a blanket with me everywhere… well there’s nothing quite like a chappywrap. Love the neutral color for this season.

As far as fall decor, I’ve taken to these glitter pumpkins (obsessed, so high quality!) and got these cutie ghost napkins for the bar cart, and hung this felt garland! Felt garlands feel so classic and old-school to me. We’ve also been spending a lot of evenings on the back deck with the weather cooling off, and these citronella candles have been ideallll. Great color too! Light them with this presh cowboy boot match strike ;)

Okay now the best of it all. The black set. Perfectly transitional. So structured and flattering. Pairs perfectly with the rich colors and velvet texture of this headband and this clutch. I think I might’ve fallen asleep dreaming about it last night..? It’s settled i’m getting it. October calls for a lil’ somethin somethin, right?
