ME, JAIME MEININGER

I married my husband Drew last June, and in the fall we moved to Blacksburg while he finished up at Virginia Tech! My yellow lab, Millie, and I split our time between Blacksburg and our home town in Maryland pretty evenly as all of my medical care is at Hopkins. 

My life is a little hard to sum up, but in short - I got sick when I was 17, graduated high school the following spring, and was all set to start college. My medical team made a last-minute decision that I couldn’t go, and I spent the next year bouncing between Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic- while squeezing in visits to see Drew at VT! The last four years have been a lot of the same. Treatments, surgeries, and tired days at home.
