The Morning Of

Absolutely nothing compares to waking up on the biggest day of your life, showering & changing into the sweetest girly sleep dress, and going upstairs to everyone you love eating breakfast in the same kitchen!

In the wedding house there was literally a bridal suite, which was the room I got to stay in for the week! It felt like the perfect princess room. It had a double door entrance at the end of the second floor hall, opening to a sitting room with a double formal vanity which then opened up to a private balcony. The bedroom and bathroom were off to the right of the sitting area. It worked perfectly for the hair & makeup team as they had the perfect setup, and even with all us girls + moms + H&MU + photo in the room, it never got stuffy or felt like we were in each others way! Also loved being secluded and having that private “getting ready” space, yet still being within reach of all my side of the family incase we needed help with little emergencies (which.. we did!)

That morning/early afternoon was so perfect and I don’t remember being especially stressed! I assigned one of my bridesmaids to making sure there was fun music playing all morning *cue Katy Perry* which made for impromptu dance parties and overall, the most fun suite ever ever ever! I woke up and jumped right into delegating tasks around the reception space (you can do that when everyone you invite is family haha), showered, blow-dried my hair, and then H&MU + our photographer arrived, and the day got started! From there on it was all planned out and my photographer / day-of coordinator were leading me from step A to B and I really didn’t have to worry!

For our getting ready outfits, nothing other than a sleep dress would suit my personality. I looked at several, but just couldn’t find anything that compared to the hand woven quality of a classic sleeper dress- especially with those pink roses. From there we picked out my mom’s PJ set, the classic cotton set in “peony”. Next I searched and searched (and searched) for mini nightgowns for my bridesmaids, but landed on these long-short sets with the oversized button down tops in the most darling powder pink and they were a must! The perfect color, and the traditional yet feminine style just tugged at my heart and gave me so much security in our getting ready outfits. Lastly, my MIL’s Ralph Laurel PJs just fell into place! Perfectly themed with the rest of the pinks, yet slightly more subtle with the thin pinstripes. In the morning I had everyones PJ set hung on white wooden hangers, and when they came to grab their set I had them switch the hanger onto their bridesmaid dress, so everything was cohesive on the dress rack.

I feel like I shared way too many photos, but also like I hardly scratched the surface- enjoy a peak into my morning!

LOVE,

Jaime
