The March Edit

Spring is on the come-up! Only a a few weeks until daylight savings, longer nights, and hopefully some more sunshine to outweigh the chill! I personally don’t like spring, it’s such a tease going back-and-forth with the temperatures and you start to daydream about beach days when they’re really still months away. UGH okay too depressing— let’s go back to pretending summer is soon; this month’s edit touches on the party theme of the month, a few spring soiree musts, and home decor i’ve been eyeing while planning for our move in May (more on that soon!)

I always have the hardest stinking time getting dressed in March/April/May because we sit at a weird temperature here in Maryland and it’s too cold for this but too warm for that. I loved this v-neck sweater to layer over a crisp button down with some kick-crop jeans and sneaks for some of those in-between weather days; add on these lucky earrings for a St. Patricks Day lunch! This green gauze dress is another great spring option since it’s cotton, but still has the longer sleeves and pairs well with caramel colored riding boots and this precious VV bandana; a great rodeo option for those of you in the south!

Some home accents i’ve been eyeing this month have been this flamingo punch bowl (that I fully plan on using to serve chips) and a sweet wicker elephant; think: on the wall above the tv. DARLING. Also loving these fun green lamps- a great way to incorporate an accent color into a sitting room!

With spring on the horizon i’ve been thinking up some outdoor activities to do on Drew’s day off and keep going back to the idea of packing him a picnic. My mom got me this picnic basket a few years ago and I love pulling it out in the spring for a sweet afternoon. There are plates and cups that go with the basket but these cute ice cream dishes are also the perfect size to throw in the basket and use for fruit & berries on your picnic!

Happy March, Happy St. Patrick’s Day, wear allll the green!
