Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag

Lululemon Outfit Details: Top / Sports Bra / Skort / Headband / Bag

I’m unashamed to admit that I love pretty things! The brighter, sparklier, shinier the better. The circumstances I’ve been handed, though, are hardly glamorous. Not to get into any of the grossest details…but it can be pretty yucky haha.

When you first get a feeding tube, someone comes into your hospital room to explain how to put together a bag, set up your pump, etc, and they hand you over all the main essentials for your feeding pump. One of those being a boxy, black, insulated, little boy looking backpack to carry your pump around in. I remember the exact day this all happened for us, and in that instant I looked at my mom and strongly shook my head “no”. There was no way I was going to walk around with that thing! Not cute!!!

For years, I’ve been one to throw my pump and formula into my tote purse when i’m on-the-go, or simply carry it under my arm if the situation isn’t “tote purse appropriate”. A lot of purses aren’t big enough to carry the size/weight of a formula bag, so I allowed myself to become a big bag girl. When I have to carry it, however, it’s limiting. You lose use of one arm, everybody sees it, it’s just not super practical. With belt bags all the rage these days it crossed my mind to use one for my pump. Since they’re more sporty than frilly, I’d probably only do this with more casual outfits, but especially for the warmer months this could be really helpful!

I went into Lululemon to try it out, and unfortunately my pump and formula bag didn’t fit in their Everywhere Belt Bag. I was SO disappointed! About a week later while my Mom and I were at the mall again, I begrudgingly went back in to try out the bag again. This time it was later in the afternoon, so I only had ~1/2 my formula bag full (it was very full last time) and IT FIT! I went with the lavender but will be going back to get the white also.

It’s unfortunate that a full days volume doesn’t fit inside the bag, but I’ll take what I can get, and really I can always pack the rest of my formula carton with me if I’ll be out all day long. This is going to be so helpful for lifeguard comps and shopping days this summer!

If you’re looking for more of a stylish way to carry your pump, give this a try. I could even tuck in a decent amount of my tubing so it wasn’t hanging too too much, and the way it rests was pretty comfy. Keep in mind you have to bend the top cap of your bag a decent bit to get the belt bag to zip- that’s the trickiest part. If only they designed one of these just for this! (cough cough @lululemon)

Note: This will only work for the 500ml bags
