For starters, this last-minute St. Patrick’s Day look has made me so happy today! It dawned on me this week that I don’t have a ton of green - specifically any green sweaters that aren’t strictly Christmas! After a lot of consideration put into $200+ sweaters, I found this pine green gingham dress. March is always tricky here, with 60 and sun one day and then literal snow the next. So I took a risk with this cotton dress, but backed myself up by also ordering this cropped roll neck sweater to put over! The straps tie so are adjustable and the sweater over top was really cute. Paired with my green miller flats. I felt so themed on my neighborhood walk with Millie earlier! :)

Okay, the gallery wall! I’ve been chatting and planning for some sort of gallery wall since we were in our Blacksburg apartment. I’ve gone through several phases of cutting, labeling and taping up computer paper to the walls testing out different ideas. Why’s it taken so long? It’s pricey. Unless you’re okay with the look of a “budget project”, between the artwork and all the framing it can get $$$.

After packing away the Christmas decor in January, our living/dining room area just felt so bare. I loved that in some spots because holiday trinkets can get overwhelming after 2 months, but in others it just looked so bland. Especially this wall up the staircase! You see it from the entrance, living area, and through this little window cut out from the dining room. It’s the perfect blank space for a gallery wall! So I started the process of picking out what would go on into this…

I used our invitation suite as the perfect starting point, partially because it was up there by itself before this project! I already had this Gray Malin, back in the Cloffice, but love this chance at showing it off a little more. Most of these are personal pieces, like the beach patrol patch, Lane Stadium from Virginia Tech - Drew’s Alma-mater and our first apartment together! And a little ‘inside joke’ (not a joke but you know what I mean!) from Gilmore Girls, “In Omnia Paratus” which means “Ready for anything”. This piece is also a little hint at something big coming up for us! Any guesses what it could be!?

For frames I stuck with white wood and gold bamboo. This kept it cohesive with the rest of our decor, plus white frames always brighten up the art! If I had to pick a favorite (and this is really, really difficult!) it would probably be the East Coast pennant! I had it custom to get pink threading on the sides, and the floater frame really elevated it I think! Have loved looking over and staring at this wall during the day, and really excited to see it evolve!
